Kenneth Dakan was born in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1964 and is a freelance translator and voice-over artist. His published translations of fiction and non-fiction include: Mehmet Murat Somer’s The Prophet Murders (Serpent’s Tale, 2008), The Kiss Murder (Penguin, 2009) and the The Gigolo Murder (Penguin, 2009); Ece Temelkuran’s Deep Mountain: Across the Turkish-Armenian Divide (Verso, 2010); Perihan Mağden’s Escape (Amazon Crossing, 2012); Ayşe Kulin’s Farewell: A Mansion in Occupied Istanbul (Dalkey Archive, 2012); and Buket Uzuner’s I am Istanbul (Dalkey Archive, 2013).
