Sunia İliaz Küçükbıçakcı
Sunia İliaz Küçükbıçakcı (b. 1981, Constanta, Romania) has been living in Turkey since 2001. She moved to Turkey to complete her undergraduate degree and after studying preparatory Turkish for a year, she graduated from the Department of International Relations of the Political Sciences Faculty at Ankara University in 2006. Küçükbıçakcı decided to continue studying and started her postgraduate degree at the Department of Management of the Social Sciences Institute, graduating in 2009. Her interest in literature and translation led her to develop her skills in these areas. With her aim of contributing to the circulation of literary works for the readers of both countries in mind, she participated in the 5th Translation Workshop organised by the Istanbul Dimitrie Cantemir Romanian Cultural Institute in March 2012. She then participated in the “Scholarships for Translators in Training” programme organised in Bucharest by the Romanian Cultural Institute. Küçükbıçakcı is interested in travelling, table tennis and literature.
